Who is the Testator?
The Testator of promises is, as you
would say, Jehovah God. The Father. Jesus the Son of God is NOT the Testator.
To be a Testator one MUST OWN WHAT HE HAS PROMISED AND ABLE TO SUPPLY WHAT IS
HIS WILL.
Only God the Father can do this.
Only God the Father could revoke His own Words of cursing upon Adam and his
sons. He created His covenant Word in
Genesis 9: 5-6 to make the work of the cross viable.
We know that God is the Testator and that God cannot die. i.e. shed His Blood. Yet scripture declares that God did shed His
blood. Acts 20:28.
Now if God could shed His blood, and in doing so, is saying that He has died,
then He as TESTATOR can fulfil all that He promises to all who would have faith
in Him.
But we know God cannot die. i.e. The
Father.
Believers see the cross and Jesus on it shedding his blood when he died. They do not tend to UNDERSTAND just what the
TERM 'Jesus THE LAMB OF GOD' means.
Jesus
was God's Lamb.
In the Old Testament God called for men of faith to shed blood.
This was symbolical of THEM GIVING THEIR LIVES, shedding their blood so to
speak. Men did this as a token of their
giving themselves in the knowledge that God would forgive their sins.
The sacrifice and what was done with the blood indicating what the sacrifice
was for. In other words what spiritual work was accomplished ACCORDING TO
WHAT GOD SAID.
When Jesus God's Son, died on the cross, giving up his physical body to death,
(he as the Son of Man who had been conceived by God the Father, into the womb
of Mary), his blood had been supplied by the same way any person who has
been born. i.e. from their father.
Jesus was GODS LAMB, he died IN GOD'S PLACE, for God our Father!
WHY?
God in His great faithfulness to
fulfil His own Words of Promise
supplied HIS OWN SACRIFICE, HIS OWN BURNT OFFERING - HIS SON, TO GIVE WHAT HE
HAD PROMISED in covenant to all mankind.
The principle had been laid in the already established sacrificial system by
God, that when God saw a man shed the blood of animals he saw THE MAN AS
SHEDDING HIS BLOOD, the animal dying in his place, accomplishing WHAT GOD asked
for, of men.
The man giving of himself in faith to God.
WHAT FOR?
To receive what God in that
dispensation promised.
The basis of this is in God's Criteria of the Blood which He established in Genesis
9:5-6, after the flood. (See Criteria of The Blood for more
information.)
God so loved the world that HE
GAVE HIS SON to be HIS LAMB.
Emphatic HIS LAMB. John 1:29, Gal. 3:22.
God by His Spirit was in Jesus as the Son of Man to reconcile the world to
Himself – making a new way for mankind to come to Himself.
This is why the Holy Ones were released from Paradise and entered heaven where
no one had ever gone. John 3:13. The blood that was shed is to be seen AS GODS
BLOOD, for Jesus (His Son) was HIS LAMB.
Who in dying, in obedience to His God and Father's Will, opened up the
New Way, allowing what God as Testator had Promised to be released to those who
had waited so long for it.
Heb. 9: 15-16 & 24, Matt. 27: 51-53, Heb.
11: 11-16 & 11: 39-40.
God the Father is the Testator and is the One who sets ALL the rules.
As Sons of God we are CO-HEIRS WITH CHRIST, together we shall inherit WHAT GOD
HIS FATHER HAS ORDAINED FOR THOSE WHO DO HIS WILL AS JESUS DID. Romans 8:17.
